A New Jersey Lottery player in Mercer County won a record $3.4 million in the Tuesday, March 10 Jersey Cash 5 drawing after matching all five numbers, lottery officials said.
The $3,402,434 jackpot is the largest in the game’s history. The winning numbers were 9, 10, 23, 28 and 34. The Bullseye number was 9 and the XTRA was 3.
The ticket was sold at Quick Stop Food Market, 881 Chambers St. in Trenton. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus.
In addition to the jackpot winner, 77 players matched four numbers plus the Bullseye to win $500 each. Nineteen of those players increased their prizes to $1,500 by playing the XTRA option.
The Jersey Cash 5 jackpot reset to $150,000 for Wednesday’s drawing.
