Mega Millions, Powerball jackpots top $1 billion this weekend
Over $1 billion in prizes are up for grabs this weekend across the Mega Millions and Powerball lottery.
Over $1 billion in prizes are available this weekend across America’s top lottery drawings.
With the Mega Millions sitting at over $600 million and the Powerball sitting at over $450 million, players will have a chance at over $1 billion in prizes this weekend.
The Mega Millions jackpot currently stands at $604 million for tonight’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $266.3 million. If a player wins tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot, it would be the third time the jackpot has been won in 2026, and it also would mark the largest Mega Millions jackpot won this year. Tonight’s drawing will be the 32nd drawing since the jackpot was last won March 17 when one ticket purchased in Ohio won the $60 million jackpot.
The Powerball jackpot currently stands at $457 million for Saturday’s drawing. The cash option for the jackpot is $205 million. If a player wins Saturday’s Powerball jackpot, it would be the sixth time the jackpot has been won in 2026, and it would also mark the largest Powerball jackpot won this year. Saturday’s drawing will be the 30th drawing since the jackpot was last won May 2 when two tickets purchased in Florida and Texas split a $20 million jackpot.
Players have plenty of time to purchase tickets for both drawings. Lottery retailers throughout the country are selling Mega Millions tickets until 10:45 p.m. tonight. Powerball tickets may be purchased until 9:58 p.m. Saturday night.
Mega Millions plays may be purchased for $5 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. Each wager includes a built-in multiplier that multiplies non-jackpot prizes up to 10 times to a maximum of $10 million. Mega Millions tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state and online at MichiganLottery.com. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Powerball ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $10 million in the nightly Double Play drawing.
