Mega Millions jackpot to reach $604M before next drawing – AOL

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — No one matched all six numbers to win the $576 million Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday.
The lucky winner could be selected during Friday night’s drawing. The jackpot is anticipated to be $604 million, with the cash option coming out to $266.3 million.
According to the Michigan Lottery, if someone wins Friday’s jackpot drawing, it would be the third time the jackpot has been won in 2026.
While it may be fun to fantasize about winning millions, how much do you actually take home when things are all said and done?
According to USA Mega, after accounting for Michigan’s 4.25% state tax, if you take the annuity option, the winner will receive around $11,872,376 per year for 30 years. If you take the money upfront, taxes cut down the jackpot by $11,317,750, with your take-home payout totaling $143,846,043.
The largest Mega Millions jackpot won in Michigan was in January 2021, when an Oakland County lottery club claimed a $1.05 billion prize.
The odds of winning the lottery are slim. There’s a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot and a 1 in 290 million chance of winning the Mega Millions.
