Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $743 million, Powerball reaches $600 million

SOUTH CAROLINA (WPDE) — Lottery players will have two chances this weekend to win massive jackpots as the Mega Millions and Powerball prizes continue to climb.

The Mega Millions drawing Friday night features an estimated $743 million jackpot, while Powerball will offer an estimated $600 million jackpot in Saturday night’s drawing.

A Mega Millions ticket costs $5, while a Powerball ticket costs $2.

Players must match all six numbers drawn to win the jackpot, though there are eight other prize levels available in each game.

The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are about 1 in 290 million, while the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are about 1 in 293 million.
