Lucky Brit claims eye-watering lottery jackpot after matching ALL six numbers
A £9.2MILLION jackpot has just been claimed – marking the biggest win since the launch of the lottery’s new campaign.
The lucky player scooped up the eye-watering prize after matching all six numbers in Saturday night’s draw.
One lucky Brit has just come forward to claim their £9,269,710 win, after the Lotto draw on June 27.
According to The National Lottery, the winning numbers were 12, 18, 40, 43, 44 and 45, with Bonus Ball 29.
Four more lucky winners were made millionaires yesterday night (July 1) – each nabbing a £1 million prize.
Andy Carter, the senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “This is exactly why Lotto is known as the nation’s millionaire maker.
“The jackpot winner, together with three of the £1 million prize winners, all matched their numbers in the second draw round – a win only made possible by the new Lotto format and the extra opportunities it offers players.”
This comes as part of Lotto‘s new scheme, which now gives players two chances to win with every £2 line, all for the same price and with the same number of balls to choose from.
Each week, players help generate around £33million for National Lottery-funded projects.
The National Lottery fund includes causes such as Fight for Peace, This Girl Can and Magi Ann.
Now, more than £53billion has been raised for the fund since its launch, with more money generated with each ticket bought.
The million-pound jackpot prize will now go through the process of validation, after which the ticket-holder can decide whether or not to go public with their news.
