Lotto winner has just days to claim major prize as deadline looms
The clock is running out for one unsuspecting prize winner who might not know they have been in possession of a life-changing Lotto ticket for years.
And if they don’t check soon, they could potentially lose out on a small fortune.
The Lott said it has made repeated announcements, but the winner has yet to come forward, and now they have a mere six days left to collect.
“It’s hard to believe, but our mystery winner may have no idea they’ve been holding onto a ticket worth $774,826.59 for almost seven years!” The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said.
Anyone who bought a ticket in Queensland is being encouraged to double-check their old Lotto tickets.
“Be sure to check the bedside table, handbag, car glovebox, kitchen drawer or anywhere else an old ticket may be hiding because you could be the mystery winner we’re searching for,” Anna said.
The winning numbers from the draw in July, 2019 were 30, 23, 15, 44, 18, and 41, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 5.

The winning Saturday Lotto ticket was purchased on July 6 in 2019 at Gatton Plaza Newsagency in Gatton, about 45 minutes west of Ipswich.
“Since the ticket was not registered to The Lott Members Club, The Lott has no way to contact the winner directly and instead must wait for them to check their ticket,” the spokesperson added.
The winner has until July 6 to claim their prize and must contact The Lott immediately on 131 868.
A second prize has days to be claimed
Another Queenslander is also running out of time, with only weeks left to claim a $1 million division one prize.
This was from the Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3967, drawn on July 27, 2019.
The winning entry was bought at News Worx, Victoria Point, near Brisbane.
The Lott is gently reminding players to register their tickets to The Lott Members Club, as without it, it can’t contact winners with incredible news.
Rules in Queensland also state that winners have seven years after the draw date to collect their earnings, but once that period has passed, the unclaimed prize cannot be paid.
