Lotto players across Cork have been urged to check their tickets this weekend after a lucky draw saw a Rebel player scoop an impressive six-figure prize in Saturday’s draw.
There was no overall winner for Saturday’s jackpot, but down in Crosshaven, one player who bought a ticket on the day of the draw is eligible to claim a prize worth €130,389.
The player matched five of the six winning numbers, including the bonus, after buying a quick pick ticket at the Centra store along Point Road. While the win may well have been a local down in Crosshaven, many families have visited the town over the weekend, so the winner could be anywhere in Cork.
The winning numbers in the Saturday, 27th June, Lotto draw were: 12, 27, 29, 38, 43, 46, and the Bonus was 25. The winner has been advised to get in contact with the National Lottery’s claims team.
Darragh O’Dwyer, National Lottery spokesperson, said: “While over 81,000 players nationwide won prizes in Saturday’s Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, just one player in Cork now has a ticket worth an incredible €130,389.
“We are urging all of our players, particularly those in the Crosshaven area, to carefully check their tickets today. The Cork player should sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.
“They should contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.”
Meanwhile, as there was no winner of the €5,181,046 jackpot on offer in last night’s Lotto draw, Wednesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €5.5 million.
It follows another six-figure win in Cork earlier this week, where a player in Skibbereen took home a life-changing prize of €250,000.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language.
In total, €7 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 39 years ago. In 2024 alone, €239.3 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
