One very lucky Lotto player is waking up as a newly minted millionaire this morning as their ticket hit big in the Jackpot draw last night.
The winner is set to take home a life-changing €3,731,996 after matching all six numbers plus the bonus. The winning combination was 8, 12, 24, 25, 33, 45 and bonus 41.
The exact location of the golden ticket is not yet known, but is expected to be revealed tomorrow. National Lottery officials confirmed this big winner is among over 73,000 players who picked up prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws tonight.
In the main draw, smaller prizes were claimed by 18 players who matched five numbers to win €1,512 each, while 38 players who matched four numbers plus the bonus claimed €180 each.
There were no winners of the €1 million Lotto Plus 1 top prize or the €250,000 Lotto Plus 2 jackpot, however 79 players won €500 each in the Lotto raffle draw, with winning number 7824.
National Lottery bosses are encouraging players to check their numbers carefully. The jackpot winner should make contact with the their prize claims team so arrangements can be made for them to collect their life-changing fortune.
A spokesperson said: “There was one winner of the Lotto jackpot. In total, over 73,000 players won prizes in the Lotto & Lotto Plus draws.”
