There is a £5m Lotto jackpot and a £500,000 top prize in Thunderball tonight

A rollover in the National Lottery Lotto game could see September get off to a winning start tonight (Wednesday, September 3).

The jackpot is a healthy £5m which would be more than enough for most people to enjoy (and also save a bit).

That kind of money doesn’t come easy and you’ll need to get all six main numbers to stake your claim.

There is also a chance to bank £1m by matching five main numbers and the bonus ball.

Cash prizes are also available for matching three or more balls in the draw.

Winning Lotto numbers: 7, 15, 18, 22, 31, 54. Bonus ball: 28

What happened on Wednesday?

Saturday’s Lotto jackpot will be an estimated £7m after no player won Wednesday’s top prize.

No one matched all six main numbers, meaning the jackpot was missed, but three ticketholders won £1 million each by matching five of the six numbers plus the bonus ball.

No ticket holders won £500,000 in Thunderball by matching all five numbers plus the Thunderball and no players managed to match all five regular numbers either for the second prize of £5,000.

It costs £2 per ticket to play for the Lotto. You can buy a ticket throughout the week, but on draw days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 7.30pm.

And if you want more games to play, there is also EuroMillions every Tuesday and Friday and the Set for Life game on Mondays and Thursdays.

The Thunderball draw takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
