Electrical engineer from Reading scoops huge £1million lottery win

The ‘stunned’ winner scooped the seven-figure sum when his ticket was picked in the National Lottery’s Lotto.

The man, who is in his 30s, regularly plays the lottery draw and EuroMillions.

He secured the prize after matching five main number and the bonus ball on Wednesday, July 15.

He said: “I enjoy taking part in the draws.

“Finding out I won Lotto was overwhelming. It still doesn’t quite feel real.

“I’m looking at a potential house move with the winnings.”

Liz Styles, Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the winner, saying: “We are so delighted for our lucky Reading winner, and wish him all the best in finding his dream home with his newfound fortune.”

Players can buy and check their tickets online by downloading the National Lottery app or at national-lottery.co.uk.

Playing online via the app or website means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize.
