Did you win R100-million? Lotto jackpot still unclaimed

JOHANNESBURG – The winner of the R100-million Lotto jackpot has still not come forward to claim their winnings.

According to Ithuba, the winning ticket was purchased at Checkers Hyper in Sandton City for the draw held on Wednesday, 6 May 2026.

“We are encouraging all participants who purchased tickets for this draw to check their tickets properly,” said Ithuba spokesperson Michelle von Trotsenburg. 

She added that there are also several divisional prizes still unclaimed.

Winners have up to 365 days from the date of purchase to claim their prizes.

Unclaimed winnings are transferred to the National Lottery Distribution Fund and used for good causes as distributed by the National Lotteries Commission.

The R100-million jackpot winner is not the only one still to come forward.

The winner of an R8.5-million jackpot, bought in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal, has also not claimed their prize. That winner has until 20 September 2026 to do so.

A Daily Lotto player who won R550,000 on a ticket purchased on 19 July 2025 in Pretoria has about two months left to claim their prize.

Another winner, who bought a Daily Lotto ticket worth R55,012 on 2 October 2025 in East London, also has not yet come forward and has around five months remaining to claim the winnings.
