Someone in Arkansas is having some very happy holidays after scoring the $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
One lucky ticket winner in Arkansas matched all six numbers drawn last night to win a $1.817 billion jackpot. The jackpot has a cash value option of $834.9 million. This is only the second Powerball jackpot won in the state; the first was in 2010.
“Congratulations to the newest Powerball jackpot winner! This is truly an extraordinary, life-changing prize,” said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO.
This is also the second-highest jackpot ever in Powerball history.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, Dec. 20, drawing are: 4, 25, 31, 52, 59, and the Powerball is 19. The “Power Play” is 2x.

A yet unidentified single ticket holder won the $1.817 billion prize on the Powerball Christmas Eve drawing. But even if you didn’t score the jackpot, check those numbers because there were plenty of other winners.
Eight tickets sold in California, Indiana, Michigan, New York (2), Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia matched all five white balls to win $1 million.
And while no ticket in North Carolina hit in the millions, people should still check their tickets. There are still more than 100 tickets out there that hit on smaller prizes.
The drawing produced 114 tickets that won $50,000 prizes and 31 tickets that won $100,000 prizes.
