Dean Forest Museum Trust wins Lottery grant

The Dean Forest Railway is 4.25 miles long and carries approximately 35,000 passengers per year. The Dean Forest Railway Museum Trust is a volunteer-led heritage organisation dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and sharing the rich railway and industrial history of the Forest of Dean. Based at Norchard, the Trust curates historic artefacts, documents, and exhibits that tell the story of the region’s tramroads, collieries, industries, and the development of the Dean Forest Railway. Through restoration projects, educational displays, and close partnership with the Dean Forest Railway Society and Forest of Dean Railway Limited, the Trust works to ensure this unique local heritage is accessible to visitors and future generations.
