Davenport man wins record-breaking Iowa InstaPlay jackpot of over $545,000
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A Davenport man has won a $545,153 jackpot, marking the largest InstaPlay prize in the Iowa Lottery’s history.
Jered Sandry purchased his winning “Blank Check Progressive” ticket at the Hy-Vee at 1823 E. Kimberly Road in Davenport. He claimed the prize on Thursday at the Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive, the lowa Lottery office said.
The progressive jackpot starts at $50,000 and had been growing for more than six months since it was last won in January.
Sandry’s win is the largest recorded since the game category was introduced in Iowa in 2016.
