Connecticut Lottery player wins $50K in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing

The Connecticut Lottery player matched four white balls and the red Powerball to win the $50,000 prize. The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on Wednesday were 10-28-30-46-57 and the Powerball number was 25.
The winning Connecticut Powerball ticket remained unclaimed as of Thursday morning, according to Connecticut Lottery.Â
In the Nutmeg State, winning “draw game” tickets (Powerball, Mega Millions, Classic Lotto, Lucky for Life, Super Draw, Cash5 and Play3 and Play4) must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the drawing. Winning tickets that total $50,000 or more must be claimed in person at Connecticut Lottery’s headquarters in Wallingford.
Each Powerball ticket is $2, and 4,345 winning tickets were produced in Connecticut for Wednesday’s drawing.
The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night. The estimated jackpot of the Powerball now is $131 million, with a cash option of $57.5 million.
Powerball players have a 1 in 292,201,338 chance of winning the jackpot, according to Connecticut Lottery.
Powerball drawings occur every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. and are broadcast live on Powerball’s “Watch the Drawing” page.
