One Canadian is waking up to a completely different reality after scoring a life-changing lottery jackpot prize.
The Lotto Max lottery draw took place on Tuesday, May 26, and one lucky ticket managed to match all seven of the winning numbers: 3, 4, 5, 12, 22, 32, and 34 (the bonus number was 45). The jackpot was worth $15 million, and according to WCLC, the winning ticket was sold in Calgary, Alta.
No one won the Lotto Max second prize worth $117,090.80, but 30 people will split the third prize, with each one receiving $3,976.90. During the draw, there were 15 MaxPlus prizes to be won, and one person from Regina, Sask., managed to score a $100,000 prize.

No one in B.C. won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize, and in Ontario, no one will be taking home the $1-million Encore top prize.
The jackpot was last won on May 19, when two tickets managed to match the Lotto Max winning numbers 5, 15, 22, 24, 34, 37, and 49 (bonus number 2). The winning tickets were sold in Quebec and Alberta.
One of the winners has already come forward to claim his windfall.
Shawn Batten, an IT entrepreneur from Montérégie, Que., found out about his win when he received a phone call from a representative from Loto-Québec the day after the draw.
After learning of the happy news, the surprised winner replied, “You’ve just made my day!”
Now $12.5 million richer, Batten said he wants to spend more on his interests and hobbies. However, he has no plans to quit working anytime soon.

The Lotto Max jackpot has now reset to $10 million with 10 MaxPlus prizes worth $100,000 to be won. The draw is set for Friday.
