California Lottery accidentally releases home address of jackpot winner
(FOX40.COM) — The California Lottery accidentally released the home address of a Sacramento jackpot winner who won $12 million.
In a Friday press email announcing recent major winners, the agency identified Raul Servellon de Leo as the winner of the Nov. 29, 2025, California Super Lotto drawing.
The agency also provided the name of the store where the winning ticket was sold, King Wine & Liquor 2, but listed a residential address for the store. The store’s correct address is 2346 Fruitridge Road.
When contacted by FOX40, a CA Lottery spokesperson confirmed that the address provided was the winner’s home address.
According to the agency, the email went out to about 800 media outlets.
“Protecting player privacy and ensuring accurate information are top priorities for the California Lottery,” the agency said in a follow-up press release. “This has never happened for the California Lottery, and we are reviewing our protocols to ensure this doesn’t occur again. We regret the mistake and appreciate the public’s understanding as we work quickly to ensure all information shared is accurate and secure.”
