Broward lottery player lands $36K share of top prize in three-way split
A lucky Broward County lottery player correctly guessed five winning numbers in a recent drawing to win a jackpot prize — in a three-way split.
The local winning Fantasy 5 ticket was sold at Unlimited Smoke and Food Store at 8717 NW 50th St. in Lauderhill, Florida Lottery results show.
The Broward player won the jackpot prize in Thursday night’s drawing alongside one player in Venice and another in Ocala.
They all rejected the machine’s Quick Pick option and instead chose their own numbers to play, which ended up matching the winning combination of 3-11-18-24-30. They split what would have been a roughly $108,000 prize.
In the last week, two other Broward lottery players have nabbed top Fantasy 5 prizes. One player won $13,156 with a free ticket from a convenience store in Plantation, while another player landed a nearly $96,000 prize with a ticket sold at a store in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale.
The latter prize has yet to be claimed.
Fantasy 5 drawings happen twice a day. Winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim their windfalls.
