FIVE Essex streets win big in People’s Postcode Lottery

The winners, who play the People’s Postcode Lottery, came from five different postcodes and each received £1,000 per ticket last week,

The postcode-based subscription lottery selects winners from a daily draw, with each ticket in a winning postcode receiving a cash prize.

Larger jackpots are available in the weekly and monthly draws, including multi-million-pound ‘Postcode Millions’ events.

A portion of each ticket’s cost is also donated to various charities across Great Britain.

In the latest round of £1,000 daily prize draws, residents in the following Essex postcodes won £1,000 per ticket:

• CO15 1XE in the Clacton-on-Sea area
• SS17 0PX in Stanford-le-Hope/Corringham
• CM6 4FA in Great Dunmow/Flitch Green
• CM3 5SG in a rural Chelmsford area
• RM6 4LB on the Essex-London border.

Because the lottery is postcode-based, neighbours often win together when their street is drawn, with each ticket at a winning postcode taking the full advertised amount.
