Glasgow retailer receives 500 National Lottery ‘Scratch-Coins’ – SLR

Go Local Dumbarton Road in Glasgow is the only store in Scotland to receive National Lottery’s limited-edition ‘Scratch-Coins’.
National Lottery operator Allwyn launched the coins, created in collaboration with artist and illustrator Hattie Stewart, to celebrate 30 years of National Lottery Scratchcards.
Go Local Dumbarton Road was one of 10 specially selected ‘gold standard’ National Lottery retail partners across the UK to receive 500 coins each, offering customers a unique, collectable in-store moment as part of the anniversary celebrations.
The coins will be gifted with any National Lottery Scratchcard purchase, including the new ‘£300,000 Birthday’ Scratchcard, on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last. The ‘£300,000 Birthday’ Scratchcard is priced at £2, with players having an overall 1 in 3.33 chance of winning a prize, including a top prize of £300,000.
Allwyn said that the 10 chosen retailers receiving the coins were carefully selected for their long-standing partnership with The National Lottery and their commitment to championing its role within their local communities.
Go Local Dumbarton Road owner Nathalie Fullerton said:
“I am absolutely delighted to share that we have been selected by Allwyn UK to be the only store in Scotland distributing the brand new limited edition 30th Anniversary Coins! For our little independent convenience store to be chosen for something so unique and special is an incredible moment for us. It shows just how much independent retail can achieve when you continue to innovate, engage your community and build strong relationships within the industry.
“These exclusive coins celebrate 30 years of National Lottery history, and we’re proud to be playing a small part in such a milestone moment.
“A huge thank you to Allwyn UK for the opportunity and continued support of independent retailers. We cannot wait to share these with our customers and local community! Sometimes the biggest opportunities really do come to the smallest stores.”
