Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to 296 Million Dollars After No Winner

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has increased to an estimated $296 million after no players matched all six winning numbers during the drawing on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

According to the official Mega Millions website, the prize rolled over from $277 million and now features a cash option of $128.6 million for the next drawing.

The winning numbers drawn on Tuesday night were 10, 26, 34, 56, 64, with a gold Mega Ball of 6.

No tickets matched all five white balls and the Mega Ball, and no players won the secondary $2 million Match 5 prizes, as reported by USA Today.

A successful ticket would have marked the first jackpot victory since March 17, 2026, when an Ohio player won $60 million.

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot stands at $113 million with a lump-sum cash option of $49.6 million.

Mega Millions tickets cost $5 following structural updates implemented on April 8, 2025, which include a built-in multiplier that can increase non-jackpot prizes by two to 10 times.

Participants select five numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 24, with the odds of winning the jackpot set at 1 in 290,472,336.

The game is available in 45 states, Washington D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands, while Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah do not participate.

Ticket sales deadlines vary by jurisdiction, ranging from 15 minutes to two hours before the biweekly drawings.

According to the Lansing State Journal, ticket sales in Michigan close at 10:45 p.m. on the night of the draw, while third-party apps like Jackpocket face a 9:15 p.m. cutoff in New Jersey.

Winners can choose between a one-time cash payout or an annuity option consisting of an immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.

Anonymity laws also vary by state, with New Jersey allowing winners to conceal their identities under legislation signed by Gov. Phil Murphy, while other states make winner identities public.

The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
