North East residents win in daily People’s Postcode Lottery

The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which aims to raise money for charities while also bringing cash prizes to homes across the UK.

The daily prize in The People’s Postcode Lottery was announced at 8am on Tuesday, April 21, with 20 separate locations being picked.

Each winning ticket in the daily prize draw typically picks up a cash prize, with the total depending on how many people play using the same postcode.

People with NE11 9DT and DH3 1FE postcodes picked up the £1,000 prize, which covers areas in Gateshead and Chester-le-Street.

Subscriptions to the Postcode Lottery support a range of charities across the UK through a minimum of 33 per cent of the ticket prices.

To date, more than an estimated £1 billion has gone back to ‘charities and good causes across Britain and around the world’.
