Someone in South Jersey Just Won Nearly $1.5 Million
Gloucester City, N.J. — Someone in South Jersey is going to have an epic cookout to start Memorial Day Weekend.
That’s because one lucky person in Camden County recently won almost $1.5 million playing the lottery.
According to officials with the New Jersey Lottery, one player matched all five balls in Saturday’s Jersey Cash 5 drawing and walked away with the $1,490,773 jackpot.
Winning Numbers
The winning numbers were 03, 18, 27, 31, and 43. The Bullseye was 27; the XTRA was 03.
That winning ticket was sold at Super Lucky 7 Deli & Convenience on South Broadway in Gloucester City. For their efforts, the store will receive a $2,000 bonus.
In addition to the jackpot, four dozen other players matched four out of the five balls and the Bullseye to win $500 each. Among those players, 11 multiplied those prizes to $1,500 by playing the XTRA.
The jackpot was reset to $150,000.
