Robert Bevan, a resident of Idaho, has won the lottery 18 times over his lifetime, according to records reviewed by Idaho Lottery officials during a review of historical data.

His most recent win was a $50,000 prize from a “1,000,000 King Scratch Game”, which lottery officials identified while examining past results, says People.com.

Bevan’s winnings over the years have ranged from $1,000 to $200,000, reflecting a long history of participation across multiple lottery games, according to the records.

In 1997, he was one of seven winners in the “Blazer Bucks” promotion, in which he won a 1997 Chevy 4-door Blazer.

Bevan has described playing the lottery as a routine activity he shares with his wife.

Despite his repeated winnings, Bevan said his perspective on luck is centred on his personal life. He told lottery officials that his “real luck” is not found in his tickets, but in his 40-year marriage to his wife, whom he described as an “amazing woman”.

The Idaho Lottery said it returns the majority of its proceeds to player prizes, with remaining funds supporting public schools and state buildings.
