Residents on this Altrincham street celebrate win on Postcode Lottery

The draw takes place every day, giving residents of certain postcodes across the country the chance to win £1,000.

On Monday (August 24), residents of the WA14 4HE postcode, Bemrose Avenue, are the lucky winners.

Subscriptions to the Postcode Lottery support a number of charities around the UK, with at least 30 per cent of the ticket price going to charitable causes.

Postcode Lottery manages the lotteries for 20 individual charities, each of which has one draw a month.

The lottery is hugely popular nationally and has raised more than £1.5 billion for organisations and projects across the country.
