The winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing on Friday, Aug. 21, are in. If you bought a ticket for a shot at the game’s estimated $113 million jackpot, or the $48.3 million cash option, now’s the time to check your numbers.

Friday’s jackpot has been growing since a Florida ticket sold at a Wawa in Bradenton matched all six numbers to win an $800 million prize on July 28. Lottery officials have not yet announced whether a ticket matched all six numbers in the latest drawing, leaving players across the country waiting to see if a new multimillionaire has been made.

How to play the Mega Millions

Players select five white ball numbers from 1 to 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 to 24.

Tickets can be purchased at convenience stores, gas stations, grocery stores and other lottery retailers. Some states also allow online ticket purchases.

Players who don’t want to choose their own numbers can ask for a Quick Pick or Easy Pick, which randomly generates numbers.

Mega Millions tickets now come with a built-in multiplier that automatically boosts non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X.
