Pennsylvania players win as Powerball jackpot nears massive $1 billion mark – AOL

(WTAJ) — The Powerball jackpot is racing towards $1 billion after it went untouched in this weekend’s drawing.

The $856 million jackpot for Aug. 8 went unclaimed, meaning on Monday, Aug. 10, the jackpot will be an estimated $905 million. If untouched this week (Monday and Wednesday), it could reach $1 billion for Saturday’s drawing.

In Pennsylvania, two lucky players made off with $50,000 by matching four of the five balls and the Powerball. If those tickets had purchased Power Play, they would have been worth $150,000.

According to the Pennsylvania Lottery, more than 113,000 players won between $4 and $500 in Saturday’s drawing.
