SunLive – Three Bay of Plenty Lotto tickets score wins


Three Bay of Plenty Lotto players are celebrating after scoring a share of Lotto second division in Saturday night’s draw.
Twenty-four players nationwide won $16,396 each with Lotto second division in Lotto draw 2602. Two of those winners also picked up Powerball second division, boosting their total prize to $30,183, a Lotto spokesperson said in a statement.
The Bay of Plenty winning tickets were sold at Bayfair Lotto in Mount Maunganui, New World Ōpōtiki and through MyLotto to a player in Kawerau.
While no player won the Powerball jackpot, which now climbs to $28 million for Wednesday night’s draw, Lotto first division was also not struck and will be worth $1m on Wednesday.
Strike Four was not won and jackpots to $400,000.
Other second division winning tickets were sold across the country, including in Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Taranaki, Manawatū, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury and Otago.
