Lottery Millionaire Winner

Texas has a new $1M Powerball winner. Here’s where it was sold.

A quick pit stop at the gas station turned one lucky Texan into a millionaire in this week’s Powerball drawing. However, that luck hasn’t quite tapped its winner yet, as the ticket remains unclaimed.

The Quick Pick ticket matched the white ball numbers 12, 29, 37, 43 and 55, but missed the Powerball, 18, leaving it one number shy of the estimated $434 million jackpot. The ticket did not include the Power Play option, which would have doubled the prize to $2 million.

Texas Lottery winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prize. If the ticket goes unclaimed, the money will be transferred to the state’s unclaimed prize fund, which has collected more than $300 million in unclaimed lottery winnings since 2007.

The Bastrop winner isn’t the only millionaire who has yet to come forward. Another $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Austin for the Feb. 2 drawing remains unclaimed and will expire if it is not validated by Aug. 1, according to previous reports.

Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $457 million for Saturday night’s drawing, with a cash value of $205 million. Lotto Texas will also be drawing Saturday for an $18.5 million prize.
