Salisbury woman wins £1million on EuroMillions

The woman, from Salisbury and in her 60s, won £1 million on The National Lottery EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw on Friday 1 May 2026 after playing a Lucky Dip online.

She was drawn to play by a special Bank Holiday draw that guaranteed 10 new millionaires.

The winner said: “I’m amazed and still in total shock.

“After playing for all these years without a win, I never imagined this would happen to me.

“It was the special Bank Holiday draw that tempted me, and I’m so glad it did.

“Now my family and I have some wonderful things to look forward to.”

She is planning to take a family cruise and make improvements to her home.

Liz Styles, winners’ advisor at Allwyn, said: “Congratulations to our lucky Salisbury winner.

“What a way to celebrate her very first win.

“We wish her and her family a fantastic cruise and all the best with their home renovation.”

National Lottery players help raise around £33 million each week for projects across the UK.

Since its launch in 1994, more than £53 billion has been raised, supporting more than 680,000 good cause projects.

These include schemes in fields such as the arts, sport, heritage, and community development.

National Lottery tickets are available online via the app or national-lottery.co.uk, and can also be purchased and checked in-store.
