Kent man’s weekly Lucky Dip habit lands him £1m

A Kent man has become an overnight millionaire after landing a life-changing £1 million in the EuroMillions draw.

The lucky winner, who is in his 50s, said he buys a Lucky Dip ticket every week, but could not believe it was real when he finally scooped the huge cash prize last month.

The man, who lives near Dartford, said he is now planning to enjoy a holiday, buy a new home and invest the rest for the future.

The mystery winner added: “My partner and I are so happy, we sat checking the results over and over again because we thought it could not be real.

“This is going to make such a difference to our lives. I really believe that you have to be in it to win it, and we are very happy, emotional and in total shock!”

Winners’ advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, Kathy Garrett, said: “Congratulations to our lucky Kent winner.
