Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots total nearly $800 million

RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) – The North Carolina Education Lottery announced that tonight and tomorrow night’s jackpots are continuing to grow after weeks without a winner.

Tonight’s Mega Millions jackpot will have a $467 million prize as an annuity or $211 million in cash, and Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot will have a $327 million prize as an annuity or $148 million in cash.

“With the summer season officially here, North Carolinians have two scorching hot jackpots offering life-changing prizes,” said Terri Rose, chief brand officer of the lottery. “We are all hoping to see a lucky lottery player in North Carolina take home a big jackpot win this week.”

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million, while the odds of winning a Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
