Bury residents on this street earn Postcode Lottery win
Residents on one street in Radcliffe are celebrating after their postcode was one of the lucky few selected in Tuesday’s Postcode Lottery.
Every day, the Postcode Lottery draws random postcodes, with winners earning a £1,000 prize.
Those living in the postcode M26 4LW are among Tuesday’s winners.
That postcode includes a number of addresses on Starling Road in Radcliffe.
Players taking part in the Postcode Lottery sign up with their postcode, paying £12.50 per month to be entered into the draw, with prizes announced every day.
At least 30 per cent of Postcode Lottery ticket revenue goes to charitable causes in the UK.
The Postcode Lottery also managed lotteries for 20 individual charities, each of which holds one draw a month.
This latest win comes after April saw residents on three streets in Bury win a combined total of more than half a million pounds.
Two neighbours on Railway Street each took home £250,000, choosing to remain anonymous when the draw was announced.
Then, just days later, another Bury postcode was named in the daily draw, earning any residents £1,000.
Players on Rowan Drive with the postcode BL9 7PQ were featured in the April 1 draw, followed by a win for Rochford Avenue a day later on April 2.
In total, a minimum of £502,000 was won by Bury residents in just one week.
While this week’s prize is far less, those lucky winners on Starling Road will still be happy to each pocket £1,000.
And in doing so, they are all helping numerous good causes.
The lottery supports “a wide range of charities and good causes across Britain and around the world.”
To date, a total of £1.8 billion has been raised for good causes and projects so far through the Postcode Lottery.
The results of the daily prize draws can be viewed every day on the People’s Postcode Lottery website.
