A great start to the weekend for one lucky Cork player
A Cork EuroMillions player will be celebrating big this weekend as they are half a million euro richer after last night’s draw.
Officials from the National Lottery have revealed details about the golden ticket, which was bought by a mystery player somewhere in Co Cork:
- The winning ticket is a EuroMillions Plus ticket
- It was bought online
- It was bought yesterday
- It was bought using the ‘Scheduled Play’ online feature
- It matched all five numbers in Friday night’s draw to win the top prize of €500,000.
The numbers were: 5, 7, 9, 32 and 37 ( Friday, 12th June, EuroMillions Plus draw)
National Lottery spokesperson, Emma Monaghan, said, “It’s been a brilliant start to the weekend for EuroMillions players in Cork and Dublin, with two online players waking up to exciting prize notifications this morning. In Cork, one player has scooped the EuroMillions Plus top prize worth €500,000, while a Dublin player has also won €11,454 after matching five numbers in the main EuroMillions draw. We’re encouraging online players in both Cork and Dublin to check their National Lottery accounts carefully today – there could be a very exciting email notification waiting!”
Tonight’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll towards an estimated €3.8 million.
Earlier this week, officials shared the location of a great win in West Cork. A lucky player in Bandon scooped a handy five-figure sum after the 10th of June Lotto draw. It may not change their life, but the €34,710 prize will certainly make it a summer to remember. Lotto bosses have appealed for shoppers to check their tickets as they wait for the winner to make contact, revealing that the ticket was bought at the shopping centre in Bandon.
And yesterday, a prizebond somewhere in Co Cork scooped its holder a very handy €50k. Ireland State Savings officials revealed information about the top Prize Bond winner of the week as they urged bondholders to check their accounts carefully.
