One lucky Lotto player has plenty to celebrate this Bank Holiday weekend after they bagged the jaw-dropping €8,726,418 jackpot in Saturday night’s draw
The search is on the find Ireland’s newest millionaire as the National Lottery confirmed the location of the winner of Saturday night’s night’s life-changing Lotto jackpot.
The lucky ticketholder is set to take home a jaw-dropping €8,726,418 after matching all six numbers plus the bonus in last night’s main Lotto draw. The winning combination was 1, 7, 27, 28, 34, 42 with bonus number 26.
The winning numbers for Saturday’s Lotto draw (May 2) were: 01, 07, 27, 28, 34, 42 and the bonus was 26.
The National Lottery has confirmed that life-changing jackpot was won by a Dublin player, with Lotto bosses set to announce the winning retail location on Wednesday (May 6).
The Dublin player, who is certain to be celebrating today, took the title of second Lotto jackpot winner of the year to date.
The National Lottery is urging all players in the Dublin area to check their tickets carefully to see if they have bagged the huge prize.
The winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with the Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to visit Lottery Headquarters.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr had the following advice for players: “What a weekend it’s been for National Lottery players all over the country!
“A Lotto player in Dublin has officially become Ireland’s newest millionaire after winning Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot worth an impressive €8,726,418. We are encouraging all of our players in the Capital to carefully check their tickets today as one player now holds the title of second Lotto jackpot winner of 2026.”
The jackpot prize winner was among over 101,000 players who picked up prizes across the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws last night, with players across the country the country encouraged to check their ticket to see if they have pocketed a Bank Holiday bonus.
