Powerball Lotto $20 million winning numbers | Lottery draw 1273 results
The numbers for tonight’s $20 million Powerball are in, with the prize double that of Tuesday’s Oz Lotto $10 million jackpot and massively outweighing this Saturday’s $5 million jackpot.
“Tonight is the biggest jackpot on offer by any Australian lottery game at the moment,” a spokesperson from the Lott, Matt Hart, told news.com.au.
“This jackpot has been climbing for the past three weeks and it’s the sixth time this year a Powerball $20 million prize has been on the table.”
Tonight’s winning numbers were 35, 9, 10, 17, 19, 11, 20 and the Powerball number was 3.
Tuesday’s draw was won by one Canberra resident who did not claim the prize straight away.
The winner scooped the entire prize plus more, winning more than $11.2 million including the $10 million jackpot.
In total, the winner will take home $11,283,854 after having all of the seven numbers correct – an extra $1.2 million over the division one prize.
Because the ticket was unregistered, The Lott officials could not contact the new multi-millionaire, but the winner has now come forward. The Lott told news.com.au this morning they managed to speak to the winner – a man from Canberra – this morning. “He was very excited!” Mr Hart said.

“While the advertised Oz Lotto jackpot prize was $10 million, we saw a higher number of entries into that draw, which pushed up the final division one prize pool. Essentially a portion of every ticket contributes to the division one prize pool – the more entries, the higher the jackpot can go,” the Lott spokesperson said.
The winning ticket was purchased at Charnwood Newsagency in Canberra.
The winning Oz Lotto numbers from Tuesday’s draw 1390 were 12, 26, 22, 13, 10, 43, 25, and the supplementary numbers were 34 and 2.
“Interestingly, we’ve seen a trend emerging with Oz Lotto and Powerball in recent months,” Mr Hart said. “The Oz Lotto and Powerball jackpots have both been won in the same week as each other on the past five occasions.”

This week’s win comes weeks after a woman in her 20s from NSW became an instant multi-millionaire after winning the massive $60 million Powerball jackpot.
A lucky woman from country Victoria took home an entire division one $20 million jackpot in Oz Lotto last month.
“It seems Oz Lotto and Powerball had a recent habit of being won in unison in the same week,” Mr Hart said. “Given we’ve had an Oz Lotto division one winner already this week, will this mean we have a Powerball division one winner tonight?”
HOW TO WIN
To be in the running for the Powerball win, punters choose their favourite seven numbers and a Powerball number and then check the results this Thursday night.
