Wednesday update
Saturday’s lottery jackpot will be an estimated £15m “must be won” fund after no player scooped Wednesday’s top prize.
No ticket-holders matched all six main numbers for the top prize while one matched five numbers and the bonus ball to win £1 million.
There were 125 players who each won £1,750 after matching five of the six numbers.
No Thunderball players matched five numbers and the Thunderball to scoop the £500,000 top prize, and there was one who scooped £5,000 for matching five numbers.
Andy Carter, the senior winners’ adviser at National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “This Saturday, there will be a special £15 million ‘must be won’ jackpot up for grabs – as well as an additional 15 £100k prizes to be won! What an incredible day of luck that will be. Make sure to get your tickets early to be in with a chance to win.”
He added: “Each week, players help generate around £30 million for National Lottery-funded projects. With over £50 billion raised for good causes since launch, this funds hundreds of projects in every postcode area across the UK.
“From supporting the arts and sport sectors, to empowering local community groups and preserving iconic British landmarks, players’ participation makes a difference every single day.”
It costs £2 per ticket to play for the Lotto. You can buy a ticket throughout the week, but on draw days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 7.30pm.
And if you want more games to play, there is also EuroMillions every Tuesday and Friday and the Set for Life game on Mondays and Thursdays.
The Thunderball draw takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
