A New Jersey lottery player won a $923,790 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot over the weekend.
The winning ticket in the Saturday, May 30 drawing was sold in Middlesex County, the New Jersey Lottery announced on Monday.
The lottery player purchased it at the 7 Days Food Store on North Avnue in Dunellen. The retailer earns a $2,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
The Jersey Cash 5 winning numbers for May 30 were: 02, 11, 24, 40 and 41 with Bullseye 40 and XTRA 02.
Also, 29 players matched four out of five balls and the Bullseye to win $500 each with six of those increasing their prizes to $1,000 with the XTRA.
The Jersey Cash 5 jackpot will be $166,000 for the Monday night’s drawing.
Jersey Cash 5 is a daily lottery draw game from the New Jersey Lottery. Players pick five numbers between 1 and 45 and can add the Xtra for a chance to increase non-jackpot prizes by up to five times. The Bullseye gives players another chance to win. Drawings are held seven days a week at 10:57 p.m.
NJ lottery player wins $100K a year for life
A lottery player in Middlesex County won $100,000 a year for life on Friday, May 29 in the Millionaire for Life drawing.
“New Jersey Lottery has some of the luckiest players in the nation, and this Millionaire for Life prize just made one of our players very happy.” said James Carey, Executive Director of the New Jersey Lottery.
The cash value of the prize is $2.2 million. The winning ticket was purchased at Woodlane Pharmacy on Throckmorton Lane in Old Bridge.
The Millionaire for Life game began on Feb. 22, replacing Cash for Life. It is available in 32 states and Washington D.C.
$735,065 won in Fast Play game
A trip to a supermarket turned in a lucky payday for one New Jersey Lottery player.
On Saturday, May 30, someone won a $735,065 Play progressive jackpot in Gloucester County. The winning ticket, a $10 Fat Wallet, was sold at Mullica Hill Supermarkets on Bridgeton Pike in Mullica Hill.
