Over $1.2 million in Kentucky Powerball prizes remain unclaimed

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – More than $1.2 million in Powerball prizes across Kentucky remain unclaimed, with five winning tickets from recent drawings still waiting for their owners to come forward.

The unclaimed winnings span from a $1 million jackpot prize to multiple $50,000 tickets, all stemming from the recent $1.8 billion Powerball run and Saturday night’s latest drawing.

Kentucky Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets as the 180-day claim deadline approaches for some prizes.

Million-Dollar Prize Leads Unclaimed List

The largest unclaimed prize is a $1 million winning ticket sold at Kroger, 1670 Starlite Dr., Owensboro, from the July 7 drawing. That winner has until early January 2026 to claim their seven-figure prize.

Four additional $50,000 prizes remain unclaimed:

  • A ticket sold at Saddlebrook One, 525 West Laurel Road, London, from the Sept. 3 drawing
  • An online ticket purchased at kylottery.com from the Sept. 6 drawing
  • A ticket purchased at Five Star, 38 Dead Ready Lane, Lebanon, from the Sept. 8 drawing
  • The newest unclaimed prize from Saturday’s drawing, sold at Thorntons, 10515 Preston Highway, Louisville

Time Running Short for Winners

Winners must claim their prizes at the lottery headquarters located at 1011 W. Main St. in Louisville. Winners should contact the lottery at 1-877-789-4532 to make an appointment to claim their prize. Winners have 180 days from the drawing in which they won to claim their ticket.

There was no jackpot winner from Saturday night’s drawing. The next drawing, with a jackpot of $207 million, will take place Monday, Oct. 6, at 11 p.m. EST.
