Two San Antonio residents claim $1M lottery scratch-off wins
The win comes about a week after another anonymous San Antonio residents claimed a $1 million cash prize from the scratch ticket game "200X The Cash."
San Antonio has a new millionaire, according to a Tuesday news release from the Texas Lottery.
In an announcement administered by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, representatives stated that an anonymous resident of the Alamo City laid claim to a “top prize winning ticket” worth $1 million.
The winner purchased the scratch-off ticket game, called “Monaco Millionaire,” from a Stop and Shop station located at 830 N. New Braunfels Ave. on San Antonio’s East Side. The station may be eligible for a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket, according to the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program.
While it’s rather rare to win this amount of money, Texas Lottery representatives state the overall chances of winning Monaco Millionaire are nearly one in four — including break-even prizes. This game in particular offers over $72.6 million in total prizes, so a $1 million prize is just a fraction of what’s in the pot.
The win comes about a week after another anonymous San Antonio residents claimed a $1 million cash prize from the scratch ticket game “200X The Cash.” The winner purchased the ticket at Times Market, 1910 S. Hackberry St., in San Antonio.
