Celebration as these Essex postcodes win big in postcode lottery

Lottery players in two areas have each scooped £1,000 per ticket in last week’s daily draws.

People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery in which players pay £12.50 a month for tickets that are entered into multiple prize draws every day, week, and month.

Every day, 20 winning postcodes are drawn, and players in those postcodes win £1,000 per ticket.

Weekly and monthly draws offer larger jackpots, including multi-million-pound events.

The winning postcodes were:

• SS7 4LG in the Benfleet/Thundersley area
• RM18 7PD in the Tilbury/East Tilbury area

A minimum of 30 per cent of the ticket price goes to charities and good causes across Great Britain.

Since the lottery is postcode-based, neighbours often celebrate winning together when their street is drawn.
