Two Irish EuroMillions players win €500,000 each as ticket locations announced

Two Irish players are celebrating tonight after winning €500,000 each in the EuroMillions Plus draw.
The winning numbers for tonight’s eye watering EuroMillions jackpot of €26,669,837 have been revealed. While there was no outright winner, two Irish players will still have plenty to celebrate after scooping six-figure prizes.
It was a disappointing night for Irish players in the main EuroMillions draw, with the biggest prize in Ireland worth €80. That amount was won by 15 players who matched four of the five main numbers along with one of the two lucky stars.
However, there was far more excitement in the EuroMillions Plus draw, where not one but two Irish players matched all five numbers to win the top prize of €500,000 each.
National Lottery officials are now urging players to carefully check their tickets. As part of the announcement, they confirmed that one of the winning tickets was sold in Co Mayo, while the second lucky ticket was purchased online.
A further 41 players also had reason to celebrate after matching four of the five numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw, earning €2,000 each.
Interestingly, four of the five winning numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw follow a clear pattern – 16, 24, 32 and 48 are all multiples of eight.
Meanwhile, in the Ireland Only Raffle, 10 players across the country picked up prizes of €5,000 each.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “There was no winner of the EuroMillions jackpot. In total, over 37,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games. There were two winners of the Plus top prize. The winning tickets were sold in Mayo and online.”
The two big winners are now being advised to sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a safe place. They should contact the National Lottery’s Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of their prizes at Lottery Headquarters.

The winning numbers for the main draw are 5, 17, 28, 33, 41 and lucky stars 3 and 9.
The winning numbers for the Plus draw are 16, 24, 32, 48 and 50.
