She stopped to fill up her gas tank and ended up winning a massive lottery jackpot
A 72-year-old Michigan woman recently won big playing the Michigan Lottery.
She stopped at a gas station in St. Clair Shores to fill up her tank and decided to head inside.
That’s when she noticed the Fantasy 5 Jackpot was growing and decided to buy a ticket.
That decision ended up making her $655,000 richer.

The woman’s winning ticket matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the May 2nd draw of 01-09-12-17-31.
The lucky lady recently visited Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing to collect her winnings and shared how the big win happened.
“I stopped to get gas and while I was in the gas station, I saw the Fantasy 5 jackpot was getting up there, so I bought a ticket. I was watching TV later that night and checked my ticket when the winning numbers came up on the screen. A feeling of relief instantly came over me when I realized I’d matched all five numbers to win the jackpot. It still feels unbelievable!”
This lucky lady isn’t the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.
A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.
A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.
And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
