All the attention may have been around the EuroMillions in recent weeks, but the National Lottery Lotto draw has now grown to an impressive £5.2m double rollover for tonight’s draw (Wednesday, June 18). Anyone banking that fortune would be more than happy and probably wouldn’t be too cross at missing out on that £208m in the other draw which was won last night by a single-ticket holder in Ireland.

Most people would be fine having an extra £5.2m rolling around in their bank account both manageable and well worth celebrating. It’s enough for luxuries but also enough to secure a solid financial future, even if it’s not a mega fortune.

To stake your claim on the Lotto pot, you’ll need to get all six main numbers. But £1m awaits if you get all five main balls and the bonus ball.

Wednesday update

A single ticket-holder has won the £5.2m jackpot. Saturday’s jackpot will be an estimated £3.8 million.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “Amazing news for Lotto players, as one lucky ticket-holder has won tonight’s £5.2m jackpot. Luck is clearly in the air, as this is the second Lotto jackpot win so far this month, after a single ticket-holder also bagged the £4m jackpot in the draw on 7 June.

“Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”

It costs £2 per ticket to play Lotto. You can buy a ticket throughout the week and on draw days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 7.30pm.
