The eight North East postcodes to scoop prizes on the Postcode Lottery this week
Postcodes from across the region were picked out this week for ÂŁ1,000 prizes.
County Durham players in Crook (DL15 9QA) and Chester-le-Street (DH3 3UJ and DH3 1FE) were some of the lucky winners.
Further afield players in Middlesbrough, Thirsk, Gateshead and Morpeth, and Northumberland also celebrated.
The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which aims to raise money for charities while also bringing cash prizes to homes across the UK.
It unveils daily prizes for postcodes across the UK, including ÂŁ30,000 jackpots for every winning ticket in a postcode on weekends, and ÂŁ1,000 prizes for 20 different postcodes every day.
A minimum of 33 per cent from each ticket goes to charity, and players have raised more than ÂŁ950 million for over 9,000 charities and good causes since 2005.
