The winning numbers for the Friday, Aug. 28, Mega Millions drawing have been drawn, but lottery officials have not yet announced whether anyone matched all six numbers to claim the estimated $145 million jackpot. The prize carries a cash option of $61.9 million.
The drawing comes about a month after a Florida player won an $800 million Mega Millions jackpot, resetting the game and starting a new climb toward nine-figure territory. While the winning numbers are now available, players across the country are still waiting to learn whether the jackpot was hit or if the prize will roll over again for Tuesday’s drawing on Sept. 1.

How to play Mega Millions
Players pick five white-ball numbers from 1 to 70 and one gold Mega Ball number from 1 to 24. Tickets also include a built-in multiplier that boosts non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, five or 10 times. Players can also choose a Quick Pick or Easy Pick for randomly generated numbers.
