‘It’s completely overwhelming’ – Pevensey engineer scoops lottery win

The winner, who is in his 50s, has played The National Lottery since it first began, moving online around five years ago. He had only been playing Set for Life for four weeks when his numbers came up.

He now plans to treat his partner to lots of lovely gifts, possibly enjoy a holiday, and put some of the winnings away in savings, the spokesperson said.

Speaking about the win, the mystery winner said: “It’s been extraordinary, amazing and completely overwhelming. It just hasn’t fully sunk in that I’ve won The National Lottery.
