Are you a millionaire? Unclaimed $1M Powerball ticket sold in Austin to expire

Are you a millionaire? It’s the last chance for the purchaser of a $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Central Texas to claim it before it expires this weekend.

The $1 million winning ticket was announced following a Texas Lottery drawing on February 2, with the ticket matching all the five white ball numbers (3-8-31-60-65) but not the red Powerball digit (4). The ticket had been sold at a Circle K in Texas’ capital city, located at 6107 W. Parmer Lane, Austin, TX 78729.

Officials confirmed that the prize remains unclaimed nearly six months later and is poised to expire on Saturday, August 1 unless the buyer validates their purchase of the ticket by that deadline. For claiming prizes in person, the ticket buyer must do so at any of the Texas Lottery’s claim centers by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31.

Ticket holders can also verify and claim their prizes via mail by sending in the ticket, as well as a claim form, to the following address:

Ticket claims made by mail must be postmarked on or before the expiration date to be valid. Texas Lottery officials added any claims made via the mail can take up to four weeks to be processed and verified. Unclaimed prizes will be redistributed back to the state for approved programs as authorized by the Texas Legislature, the Texas Lottery added.
