Powerball results for 08/24/26: Jackpot jumps to $96 million

The Powerball jackpot is closing in on $100 million as there was no winner of the $82 million grand prize for the drawing on Monday, Aug. 24. That means the drawing on Wednesday, Aug. 26 will be worth $96 million, with a cash option of $42.1 million.

Powerball winners for Aug. 24:

• Along with no grand prize winner, no one matched all five white numbers drawn to win $1 million.

• Twelve players matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000. Seven players also played the Power Play option which increase their winnings to $100,000. That was the largest prize won in the drawing.

• A total of 322,391 winning tickets were sold, with players winning a combined $2,767,153 in prizes.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. ET. Tickets cost $2 each.

Powerball is offered in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the U.K. Players select five white numbers from 1 to 69 and one red ball from 1 to 26. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
