Biggest Lottery Win

$500,000 Lottery Ticket Sold at Liquor Store in Cumberland County

Millville, N.J. — If you were wondering where New Jersey’s biggest lottery win of last week happened, you didn’t have to go far. It was right here in South Jersey.

Cumberland County, to be exact.

Just imagine walking into your favorite local liquor store to buy an adult beverage or two (or more), and while you’re there, you decide to drop $10 on a scratch-off lottery ticket. And then you won that ticket’s grand prize of $500,000.

That’s exactly what happened on Wednesday, August 19th, for one shopper at Lalli’s Liquors on Buckshutem Road in Millville who bought an AC Night$ ticket.

And we did the math: that’s a 4,999,900% return on that $10 investment.

Officials with the New Jersey Lottery confirmed that news today, and they also said that out of the three top $500,000 prizes for their AC Night$ game, only one big jackpot remains. The other was won at a Wawa store in North Jersey not too long ago.

If you are enjoying a newfound mountain of cash, congratulations!
